Who We Are… and Who We are Not!
Dennis Doyle, President
While working at Great Midwest Bank for more than 25 years, I have learned to appreciate our roots. After 80 years in business, Great Midwest Bank continues as a local mortgage lender, as was the philosophy set forth by our founders on the corner of Jefferson and Wells Streets in Milwaukee.
First, let’s talk about who we are. Great Midwest Bank is a community bank operating for the benefit of our depositors, borrowers and communities we serve. We have methodically built a balance sheet that features capital levels which far exceed the minimum requirements of the FDIC. This financial strength means we will be here for your banking needs today and in the future. We are “best in class” in Wisconsin and rated 5 Stars by Bauer Financial.
Let’s discuss who we are not. Great Midwest Bank is not beholden to shareholders. As a mutual institution that doesn’t have any shareholders, we’re focused on Main Street – not Wall Street. Great Midwest Bank will not employ risky, unethical products and practices. We work with our customers to ensure they are well-informed about the products they choose. The trusting relationships that are developed through this philosophy are a pillar to our success.
If you are visiting us for the first time, WELCOME! To our existing customers, THANK YOU for helping us be who we are! If you know someone who is in need of a community bank, please let them know about us. Tell them who we are…and who we are not!
