Three words to describe Dawn: Dependable, hard-working, and competitive.
How do you serve and build relationships with GMB clients? I love the relationships we build with all of our clients! Buying or building a new home can come with stress, especially if you also have a home to sell… part of my job is to take some of that stress away from our customers and give them the security of knowing that their loan is solid.
Showing GMB some love: Working for Great Midwest Bank is like being part of a big family. We all work towards the common goal of helping our customers and we celebrate each other’s hard work.
Loan Officer life: As a Loan Officer, I get to see people along the journey of some of their biggest life events. Whether it is building their dream home, moving into their very first home, remodeling their forever home, etc… we get to be part of it all, start to finish.
Success! My favorite success story would have to be closing a lot and construction loan for a family who had a lot of “moving pieces” to their situation. When they got to closing at our Brookfield office, they hugged me and told me I need to come to dinner at their new house when completed!
Community involvement: Five years ago, I was part of a small group of people who started our own Nonprofit Race Series, M2N, in Watertown. We set out to help the community become more active, as well as raise much needed funds for other local nonprofits. I am currently the Volunteer Coordinator for the Northface Endurance Challenge Race Series, which takes place in the Southern Kettle Moraine each September.
Hobbies: When I am not at work, I love to run and have ran many marathons and ultramarathons. I also love cooking and entertaining, and we often have friends and family over for dinner.
Fun fact: Growing up, I wanted to be a professional soccer player! 🙂
Favorite community spot: I love running and hiking with my family at Lapham Peak State Park. I also love City Beach in Oconomowoc, kayaking down the Bark River, paddle boarding on any of our lakes in Lake Country, or riding my bike on the Glacial Drumlin Trail, and I honestly love my home in Genesee. Some of my favorite restaurants are Fishbones in Delafield and Crafty Cow in Oconomowoc. We love going to Madison on Saturday’s in summer for the Farmers’ Market, and the local Farmers’ Markets in this area are great too!
