How do you serve and build relationships with GMB clients? I try to give every client 100% of my attention when I am working with them. For clients looking to purchase a home, they have access to me 24/7 through text, email, and phone as they are out searching for homes. I take the time to review each client’s financial situation and future goals in order to ensure that I am fitting them into the best loan product for their needs. To build strong client relationships, I take care to respond to customer needs and inquiries quickly, communicate in a direct and honest manner, strictly respect client confidentiality, and work hard to fit them into the best loan product for their needs. I also advocate strongly for my clients and am always working to get them the best service and products possible.

Showing GMB some love: While being very careful to always maintain a strong balance sheet, GMB is uniquely client-focused, which allows me to give my clients the best possible banking experience without the distractions of self-serving corporate policies and red tape.

Loan Officer life: I love being a Loan Officer because I am able to use my abilities and knowledge to help guide individuals and families through the most intimate, important, and usually the largest investment that they will make. The happiness and excitement that I see my clients experience on closing day makes my job incredibly gratifying.

Success! One of my most gratifying memories at GMB came at a purchase closing for a first time home buyer who needed a lot of extra help to navigate the home-buying process. We had worked together for many weeks in order to get his financing in order to buy his first ever home for himself and his family. When we arrived at his closing, he had his entire family with him including his wife, children, a grandparent, and someone else I didn’t recognize. They were all thrilled to be finally purchasing a home. Near the end of the closing, my client said to me that the stranger at the table was his neighbor and that once we were done with his closing, he wanted me to see if I could also help his neighbor purchase a home for his own family. It was moving to see my client so happy about his experience that he brought in his neighbor so that I could help him buy a home too!

Community involvement: I have served with the Return Peace Corps Association in both Madison and Milwaukee. I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Costa Rica 1996-1998 and in 2006 in the Small Business Program. I am on the Board of Directors and am the Chair of the Program Related Investments Committee at WCCN in Madison.

Hobbies: Cooking, golfing, playing ping-pong, and socializing with my neighbors.

Fun fact: I lived in Costa Rica for four years; first as a Peace Corps Volunteer and then as a manager in a travel company. I also love traveling internationally without a set itinerary.

Bucket list: A long, spontaneous trip to various countries in Asia.

Favorite community spot: My favorite place to be in my community is in my neighborhood in Shorewood Hills, interacting with my neighbors. We all meet in the summers at the community pool to relax together while our kids blow off steam in the water.
