Keeping your Accounts Safe
There are a number of actions you can take to keep your account information safe and secure:
- Great Midwest Bank will never contact you with an unsolicited phone call or email to ask for your personal or account information. Those are details we already have on file. Fraudsters have been known to “spoof” a bank phone number to give the appearance of a call from the bank. If you are questioning the validity of a call, hang up and call us at the number below!
- Refrain from using free Wi-Fi in restaurants, hotels and other public spaces for online and mobile banking. You are better off using the data connection through your phone’s service provider.
- Be sure that your mobile banking app is up to date with the latest security patches.
- Consider changing your banking password every three months. You can do so after logging in to online banking, under Profile.
At Great Midwest Bank, we’re committed to keeping your personal financial data safe and secure. We welcome your feedback on our security measures, and encourage you to contact us with any questions or concerns at (888) 485-4400 or via email.
