Position provides administrative support to Mortgage Loan Officer in the Madison Office to maximize overall production, efficiency and increase level of client satisfaction. Candidates should demonstrate an interest in future growth and development in the mortgage lending career path. Current NMLS license preferred or ability to obtain NMLS license.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: 

Follow up with borrowers to collect required documents and may act as communication liaison with all parties involved in mortgage transaction; Assist Loan Officer in tracking the progress of the loan application to ensure all deadlines, contingencies and closing commitments are met; Assist in the input, updating, and finalization of initial applicant information and disclosures via the mortgage processing system (Encompass);Track and monitor progress on all third party documents including appraisals, title, subordinations, flood certifications, verifications of employment, etc.; Responsible for scheduling loan closings with all parties involved. May attend and/or be asked to assist in loan closings; Provide any assistance necessary to prepare the loan file for closing. Assist Mortgage Loan Officer in maintaining detailed pipeline report.

Education, Experience or Equivalent: 

Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Must be comfortable and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Strong organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills required.

Minimum two years of banking/administrative/customer service experience.

Mortgage banking experience and exposure to residential loan origination in a banking environment preferred.

Prior experience working in a professional office environment.

Proven experience as a self-starter, dependable and accurate in completing work tasks/responsibilities with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred candidates may also have: 

Demonstrated experience within the mortgage and or banking industry.  These candidates will be given particular priority, especially if the experience involves use of Mortgagebot, Encompass and Fiserv/Cleartouch software.

Work Hours

8:30-5 M-F (other hours as needed)
